Saturday found us at the Mansfield Show. What a fabulous day! There was so much going on. A fabulous range of animals, competitions, displays, rides and events and where else do you get to see a goat dressed up as a fairy!?! Pencil this in for next year – a proper country show and a great, friendly crowd!
Sunday had us back in our local area at the Malmsbury Fayre. The fabulous weather and an extrordinary array of fun, music food and wine bought the crowds! The Malmsbury Village Fayre is a wonderful community event held every year on the 3rd Sunday of November in the lush botanic gardens. This year’s Fayre had plenty of activity for all! Including live folk music and dancing in the gardens, more than 70 stallholders, local makers and artists, food producers and wine makers and a great program of demonstrations and workshops, jumping castles, face painting and of course the guns!
Seriously look out for the next Heathcote Night Market scheduled for January 25th. It’s a great event with lots of food, wine, beer, entertainment and stalls. Even if you’re not a local this one makes a stop off on your way through well worth while! This is just going to keep getting better! Find out more: Heathcote Night Market

The Show had all the right elements great rides, showbags, fairy floss and carny food, fabulous food trucks, chainsaw carving, bush poetry, cattle, horse events, poultry, showgirls, a ute competition, pet show, live shows, side shows and FIREWORKS!
Unfortunately the hot weather presented a real challenge! Elephant Rock Street Foods congrulates all the participants – you did an amazing job!! Onward and upward – next year you will blitz them! Let’s get that energy flowing and round up a heap of local food producers and makers into a huge foodie extravaganza with local buskers! Just a thought but how much fun could it be!?!

Find Elephant Rock Street Foods this weekend first at the Mansfield Agricultural Show on Saturday and then back home at the Malmsbury Fayre on Sunday! Both fabulous fun country events with heaps to see, do, hear, taste and enjoy for all ages – well worth a drive!
We had an amazing time at Traralgon and despite some chilly weather to begin with and so did the people who came along. Saturday Race Day was a real event! The race goers dressed to the nines, graced the marquees and oviously enjoyed everything on offer – races by day and great food and music into the night. Sunday was sunny and pleasant and families flocked in to sample the food truck offerings, enjoy the carnival and the music and catch up with friends.
Our Elephant Rock Calamari van will be at the Albury Food Truck Carnival from Boxing Day to New Years Eve. Great location, great event, heaps of great food trucks – come along!
At the Traralgon Food Truck Carnival this weekend 3rd, 4th, 5th November don’t miss our delicious panko crumbed calamai with Emelia’s crafted garlic aioli or tartare sauce. Add beer battered Tassie chips and fresh cranberry coleslaw to complete the meal. Pop over to the bar for a wine, beer or whatever you fancy. Perfect!
November 3rd, 4th and 5th at the Taralgon Racecourse. Fully licenced and 30 food trucks on site, tons of seating and a fabulous kids carnival with lots of rides and fun to be had! We will be there with our fabulous calamari and gourmet sauces, delicious beer battered chips and cranberry cole slaw – yum yum yum!
